大塚栄二
鹿児島県川内市生まれ。 2歳の時に両親の移住で東京へ。大学卒業まで東京に住む。 22歳で精密機器メーカーへ就職と同時に長野県へ。以来30年余りを長野で過ごす。 2018年5月に福島県へ転勤。2022年1月に長野へ戻る。
カメラ、顕微鏡、内視鏡の製造技術（製品をどう作るかを考える仕事）に長年従事。カメラを造ることから作品としての写真作りに興味が広がり、カメラエンジニアと写真家の両輪で長年活動を続けて来た。
また写真講座の講師も務め、特に「光をどう見極めるか」をテーマに行った講座「光で画く」が好評を得る。

Eiji Otsuka
I was born in Sendai City, Kagoshima Prefecture.When I was 2 years old, my parents moved to Tokyo,and I lived in Tokyo until graduated from the university.At the age of 22, I got a job at a precision equipment manufacturer and went to Nagano Prefecture at the same time. Since then I spend more than 30 years in Nagano. And I relocated to Fukushima Prefecture in May 2018, returning to Nagano in January 2022.
I am engaged in camera, microscope, and endoscope manufacturing techniques. It is to think about how to manufacture the product.
At the same time as manufacturing cameras, the interest in photography itself has expanded, and now I am expanding my activities to create photographs as works. And I have been working as both a camera engineer and a photographer for many years.
I also acted as a lecturer in photography courses, and recently the lecture “Drawing with Light” on the theme of “How to identify light” has gained a good reputation.
